Team Playtime!

With the availability of "Live" video footage on my Facebook group account, I decided to host a fun stamping play-date with fellow coaches on my team.  I sent them kits to make these two cards with me LIVE on Facebook!

Since this was my first event, I knew it would be difficult to coordinate stamp sets, inks, papers and dies so I created two kits...I pre-stamped the images on their cardstock so they could play along.  In the months to come, I hope we can coordinate our supplies- so that we can stamp together-using the same sets.  But for this go round- it was just fun to experiment and test out the new live feature!
While both cards are similar, the first card incorporates a "recycled" portion of a tag and some cute floral punches.  I love how the white ink creates a bleachy look on the card.
 Yummy posies!

The second card incorporates a sketch I created and shared in my monthly newsletter to my team.  I love creating sketches and it's always fun to use the sketch as inspiration for a card!  Here's the sketch:
OK...I LOVE how the orange contrasts with the pool color.  Such a beautiful combo!  :)

Want to recreate these cards?  I've compiled a list of items used for both cards below.  Why not Shop today through a party link I set up.  I'll be shopping for supplies myself and one lucky shopper will be the hostess.  The hostess will earn ALL benefits from this party!  Shop today!

Sunday Peace...

Hey there Journey friends!  I'm here to share a little project I created this weekend using some goodies from my special delivery on Friday.  I received my box full of goodies ordered from the Spring into Summer mini catalog and when I saw the new steel rule die, I knew I had to play!

I've had this wooden cross for over six month and it's been sitting in my craft room just waiting for the perfect time to shine!  Sooo... I got out some Gold shimmer paper and used my Journey Platinum to cut out the posies and leaves, then headed to my stamping room to spritz and add color and a little Gold Silk splatter.  Such a yummy, yummy color collection!
After the ink dried, I started bending and manipulating the paper so I could create some pretty flowers.  I also diecut some of the wrapping paper that FSJ carefully wraps and packages our shipments in.  This kraft paper really adds to the fun of the piece, I think.  I decided to give a little stamped element to the krafty paper by using the Postage Stamp ATS and some Hazelnut Blend ink. Perfect for the texture I was going for!
If you may notice, I stenciled using the Starburst Lines Stencil and applied a light coat of modeling paste with my finger onto two of the flowers.  That gave another note of dimension to my flowers. After the three flowers were assembled to my liking, I arranged them onto the cross.  I layered some of the leaves (scored to create a fold line for dimension) and added some Whip Cream floral spray diecuts from the Spring Into Summer Mini.  I just LOVE these dies!
The finishing touch was adding some Green Olive ribbon and some jute at the top.  Such a fun project...I know I'll be making more ! :)

Retiring Soon...

So sad to see so many of my most favorite sets on the chopping block!

In the weeks and months leading to Convention in June when our new catalog is released, I'll be sharing some of my most favorite stamp sets that are on the retirement list.  It's always such a sad time for me as I've grown to love some amazing sets that are going to be gone forever.  I wish there was a way to keep them forever, but I know we have to make room for new and fabulous designs...

Here's one of my favorite sets on the Retirement List.  I've loved using this set- especially in my planner and am sad to say goodbye...For now, I'll just take a few more bites from the yummy chocolate bar.  :)
I have so much fun playing with and coloring this chocolate bar!  The sparkle drops were colored with reinker to give them a bit of color.
I mean, really...If I ever want a chocolate bar that is calorie free, I can just grab this set!  :)

Candy Shop is available for a limited time-while supplies last!  The whole set is discounted 30% off during the Retirement Sale so head on over to my shop and pick one up...before they are GONE for good!
