Sunday Sip and Share...It's PSL time!

Hello there coffee loving friends.  Kerry here for another fun Sunday sip and share... and some exciting news!  I know many of you are just as excited as I am for the almighty season of the PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE so I've got a treat for you today!  Let's ring in the season with a spicy tribute to the delectable treat that is a welcome sign that FALL is on the way!!!
I started out by creating a yummy pumpkin spice-like spill (puddle smushing) on some Butter Cream Cardstock using a mix of Orange Rave Color Splash, Sour Lemon Color Splash and a few spritzes of water onto a plastic bag.  After it dried, I stamped the Cozy Wishes mug using Pumpkin Bread True Fusion Ink.  Once the background was finished, I glued it "wonky style" onto my Cocoa Powder cardstock and trimmed it to size.
I wanted to create a fun sentiment incorporating the Pumpkin Spice Latte theme and since I didn't have a specific PSL themed stamp (YET), I decided to create my own!  I arranged the Marquee Type alpha stamps onto my acrylic block and selected the "wishes" sentiment from my Jolly Friends Stamp set.  I stamped them onto a strip of vellum using Clear Pigment Ink and then applied Journey Gold Embossing Powder with my heat gun (ON SALE!)
I added a little heart embellishment strip of paper to break up the vellum strip a bit.  It also allowed me to use some of my new yummy Amazing sequin trim that I picked up last week at the Be Amazing stamping event in Virginia Beach.  I just punched the stamped heart with my hole punch (on sale now!, attached it to the paper strip using some Natural Journey Thread and tucked the trimmings in with the thread.
Just one last shot to show the shimmer on the card!  I spritzed the background (and the sequin trim) with Shimmer Gold Color Splash.  SO FABULOUS!!!
As you know, I work backwards…I create a sketch AFTER my card is finished…I love this wonky layout.  If you love the layout too, please join us in creating something fun with the sketch as inspiration!  When sharing your project, please include the hashtag #clcsipandshare on social media so we can access all the gorgeous creations in one place.
PS…. I soooo appreciated seeing the projects inspired by my sketches last month.  I’m happy to say I have a little coffee-loving treat for one special coffee loving friend who created a card for EACH sketch last month!!!  Sandi Pressley, I loved each one of your creations and appreciate that you took time to create projects inspired by each sketch in August.  I’ll reach out to you on the FB group page so that I can send you your “prize”.
And WOO HOO!!!  We’re excited to announce the upcoming Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop! The hop will run from September 23-30 and we welcome YOU to join the fun!  The hop will begin at 6:00 AM Pacific time and we encourage you to post your coffee/tea/cocoa loving cards and projects!  As with every fabulous Coffee Lovers Hop, generous sponsors and blog hop participants will be contributing amazing prizes so you won’t want to miss out on the fun!

Santa Baby!

Hello there Journey Friends,

I'm back again to share a "Clean-and-Simple-ish" card using the soon-to-be released set Jolly Friends.
I suppose you also notice the new embossing folder image on the Lemon Grass cardstock! WEOOOOO!  Yeppers, that's called Happy Holidays and it's available NOW!  I love how it adds some fun texture to an otherwise FLAT card!
I also stamped the ho-ho-ho sentiment repeatedly with Rich Coral ink onto the Rich Coral cardstock. I also punched the new tag punch out using Whip Cream cardstock.  A teeny scrap of Pool Play and Oatmeal Cookie cardstock placed in the middle helps separate the embossed and stamped papers. Paper piecing the hat (From the soon to be released Snowman Fred ATS) was fast and easy.
I popped the hat up on a tag diecut (from the new Tag Time punch) that I embellished a bit with a piece of cardstock and some Whip Cream thread.  Finishing it off with a little Journey Glaze and Sparkle Dust and a pretty flower from the Holiday Elements shows that someone other than SANTA is wearing that hat!  :)

Do you wanna build a snowman???

Hello again Journey friends,

As I shared yesterday, I made a collection of cards to send to the Fun Stampers Journey Crew (the staff at the Journey Station) and this is the second version of the card collection I'll be sending.  I loved the pattern and colors in the new Holiday Mini printed paper pack so I knew that was the color pallette I was going to pull from.
It was so fun using the Brush Strokes set to create a background full of snowballs!  The River Stone cardstock and ink worked perfectly with the Pool Play ink and paper.  MMM...I used some liner tape and Black Licorice satin ribbon to create a frilly contrast against those masculine stripes.
Isn't he the cutest little snowman?  I soooo love the Jolly Friends Set!  I think it'll be my GO-TO holiday set this year.  It just makes me smile!
Of course, you know me!  I've gotta add a bit of sparkle somewhere!  I added Sparkle Dust and Journey Glaze to the blue stripes on his scarf and added a large Sparkle Drop on the Whip Cream thread bow.  MMMM...

And, yes, I did an oops again!  Cut my stamped background too small while jammin' to some Frank Sinatra...HA HA!  Yeppers, I had a little jazzy accident.  Turned out just fine in the end!  LOL
This is the other snowman's twin brother.  I think they're identical twins...Well, maybe not their noses...I doodled the lines on them so they're probably a tad different.  Go ahead compare, I know you want to.  ;)
 Yummy!

Stop back tomorrow for another peek at a Christmas in July creation.   This time, it'll be something Clean and Simple-ish.  HA HA!

Ho Ho Ho...

Hello there Journey friends,

I've been having a ball playing with the new Jolly Friends set!  I decided to make a collection of EIGHT yes, EIGHT of these adorable cards to send off to the fabulous Fun Stampers Journey Crew members in Arizona.  I've got more to reveal, but thought I'd share these first.  I just LOVE coloring this little Santa Rolli-Polli!
Such a fun little plumpster to color!  He just couldn't wipe the smile off my face as I was coloring away!
I mean, come on...LOOK at those tiny little boots! I can imagine he weebles when he wobbles!  Hee hee...

Oh yes, I DID snip the ho ho ho sentiment up just a bit.  I wanted to stamp the ho three times vertically, so I snipped one Ho from the ho, ho, ho and there you have it!

Here's the second version.  Well, it kind- of was an oopsie...You see the patterned paper?  Well, It was cut the wrong way so I had to turn the trading card horizontally to work.  I still love how it turned out.
Notice the little scalloped edge?  I used the ribbon stamp in another stamp set called Stitched Borders.  I love to use the stamps in that set this way!  So perfect for that little tiny border element that gives the card the perfect punch!
And notice all that splatter!?!  MMM...I love Silver Silk!!!  And peeking out from the background, you can see the new Brush Stroke stamp set.  I love how the lightly stamped circles helps unify the whole card.
Ho, Ho, Ho...

I hope you're enjoying my sneaky-peeks at the newest stamp sets and paper collections.  They'll be available for purchase on July 1 when the Holiday Mini Catalog is revealed!  In the meantime, visit my shop HERE to shop for other new goodies from our AMAZING new catalog!

Jolly Friends...

Ho-Ho-Ho!  I had such a great time creating this adorable tiny bag for some cookie treats!  Jolly Friends is a brand new holiday set that will be released July 1.  Along with this set, the 6x6 Holiday printed paper pack will also be released.  It's such a fun paper pack with itty-bity images that are perfectly sized for the cardmaker and trading card artist in mind!  I LOVE IT!
Adding a bit of sparkle was easy with the Sparkle Dust and Journey Glaze.  I added it to the "snow" and to the snowflakes that are falling.
This little Santa was fun to color too!  I distressed him up a bit with Oatmeal Cookie ink so he would fit nicely with the theme.
Do you think Santa's been nibbling a bit on the cookies in the gift bag??? Hmmmm...I'm going to have to check it out!

Holiday Mini Prep..

Hello Journey Friends,

In a few days, Fun Stampers Journey will unveil yet another fabulous collection of festive goodies! On July 1, we will be launching the NEW 2015 Holiday Mini Catalog that is choc-full of amazing and inspirational products.  I'm really excited!

I've already got my hands on a few treasures from this collection and I'll be sharing projects made with them in preparation for this launch.  I've also preordered my Holiday Mini Catalogs so if you are interested in receiving one, please let me know.  With every verified order from my shop, I will be sending a free mini-catalog, so I encourage you to shop today!   HERE

Today, I'm sharing a little project with you from this collection.  I LOVE this adorable stamp set called "Jolly Friends" and find that it's not only a great card makers collection but it's also fun to use when making gift giving treats, It's also fun to use in little gift sets like the one I've created below.

This is a little gift bag I created with some Lemon Grass cardstock.  I embellished it using the Treat Label Dies and some Buttercream Cardstock and Candy Apple Satin Ribbon.  I decorated the note cards to match the theme of the bag.
Isn't this little Rudolph the most adorable little guy you've ever seen??? He's a cutie, that's for sure!
Of course, I can't live without adding some sparkle and glitz!  The little red flowers from the Holiday Elements and the Sparkle Drops are the perfect addition to this bag decor.  :)

I created a total of 10 little note cards that match the bag.  They slip right into the bag for safe keeping.  After adhering the flower sequins with Journey Glaze, I added a bit of Platinum Stickles. Works perfectly for the centers!  Perfectly stacked and ready to head off to their new owner...
Love this little treat!
