Bloomin' Bunny!

Oh FUNNNN!!!  I just loved the creative process in making this card.  It was a scrappy paradise on my craft table and I had fun using the leftovers from previous projects.  Notice the brown crinkled paper?  That's some paper rescued from an order from FSJ!  Yes, all FSJ packages are packed securely and safely with bubble wrap, zippered bags and kraft paper wrapping...  I save it all so I can use it in crafty projects!  Do you save your package inserts?
I did a little video tutorial to show how I colored this adorable bunny!  I just LOVE him.  Take a peek at the yummy embossed/"sparklized" background paper.  SOOOO YUMMY, right?!
Anddddd....
Wanna watch me create this fun little bunny?  Here's a video!  Enjoy!

Starstruck!

Hello Journey friends!

The other day I received a package of goodies I ordered from FSJ.  It's so fun to get treats in the mail and I was even more excited because it also included the FREE gifts lasercut wood stars that I've been drooling over since their reveal.   I ordered some blending brushes and blending solution and the sentiment set you see in this card and POOF:  I got my prized wooden star embellishments!!!

So by now you know that I love to spend my Sunday's rescuing scraps from previous card and crafty projects.  I believe "unwanted"  scraps hold so much potential and they're just waiting to demonstrate their power if you just take a chance with them.  Sooo....While listening to my favorite gospel music station on the radio, I set out to create a few cards...with leftovers...and some embellishments.

I really love how these two cards came together.  They are fun and whimsical with a splash of collage-artsy...just the way I like to create!
Perfect little stitches and splashes of reinker and Silk just pull everything together!
Oh how I love those little stars!  Perfect embellishments for these fun cards.  I think they're meant to dance with those sparkle drops, don't you think?
And that itty bitty sentiment?  PERFECTLY snuggled in under that pop of sparkle!  :)

Now to figure out who will receive these two little treasures.  HMMMM...

Please join me in discovering the joys of crafting with scraps.  They will give you every bit of pleasure (and maybe more) than a big old cut piece of paper...and will encourage your creative muse to step out into HER spotlight!

Americana Make-Live-Share

Hello Journey Friends!

Today I'm sharing my Make-Live-Share project for the week.  I'm so inspired by Richard Garay's Make-Live-Share projects each week and look forward to making a special item for unsuspecting friends/family and new acquaintances each week!  I encourage everyone to participate, your heart will thank you!

I decided to make this little gift card holder to mail to someone extra-special.  I can't say who yet, but it's someone who's been expecting something special from me for a little while and I've been waiting for the PERFECT time to surprise him/her with it!
Alrighty, so I created this gift card envelope using the new FSJ Gift Card Sleeve die and the American Sun ATS.  I used a ton of little scraps from my workspace for the little "BottleRocket" embellishment.  I also used some yummy satin ribbon for the bow!
I curled the little scraps of colored paper up using my Journey Bloom Tool.  It's the perfect little tool for almost everything!!!
Of course I had to add a little gift card to finish it off!  I know the recipient will find it useful!  :)

For someone special...

Hello there friends,

By now, my friend and Upline has received this special card I made for her.  I'm excited to be attending Convention and am happy that I'll be rooming with her (and another fabulous friend).  It brings back bittersweet memories of our last T.A.C. Seminar and our late night visits.  I'm glad we'll be together again to visit, laugh, smile and look forward to the BRIGHT FUTURE with FSJ.
As with my Secret Friend Swap #1 card and my Secret Friend Swap #2 card, I used scrappy elements left over from my ATC swap trades.  I love that I was able to create several beautiful cards with items that most toss into the trash.
Adding a few of my most favorite elements...and my newest color combo favorites!!!
Most definitely, I'm so honored to share a friendship with Christine Pennington.  :)

Convention sweets...

Hey journey friends.

While I'm stamping and creating swap and trade projects for Convention in a few days, I'm not forgetting those who cannot attend for one reason or another.  With all the jubilation and excitement leading up to Convention, I try to think about and consider my friends who won't be there.   I've been on that end before, and it's no fun.  When you can't attend, it's really hard to not feel a bit sad or lonely about not attending.  I remember also feeling out-of-the-loop for a long while.  So here are some things I'm doing to "include" my non-convention-going friends...

1.  Sending some convention love...I'm mailing out some special cards and projects to some FSJ Coaches that I know cannot attend.

2.  I created a Pinterest board to share all our goodies and fun events.

3.  I'll be hosting some live show-and-tell events on my live stream.  I hope to include many coaches and my newest friends!

4.  I plan on tweeting, pinning, instagramming, facebooking, etc. so just you wait...Your phone will blow up!  LOL

So here's my first treat being mailed out tomorrow...For a special friend who won't be attending convention.
This is a tiny little card- about 2 1/2 x 3 1/2.  The perfect size to hold an ATC...Yep, I'm including one of my ATC trades from convention too.  Just because I think she needs one.  LOL...
The scrappy background came about after I trimmed the edges of my 35 ATC trades.  I had lots of scraps and decided to turn them into card backgrounds/elements.  Love the effect!
Ok...Now I'm off to create some more and fill up my swap bag.  :)  I'll be back to share my ATC that I'll be trading with some of my Coach family...
