Hello stamping friends...
As promised, I'm back to share another tidbit of information about my Make-Live-Share event coming up on May 21. This is an important one because it includes YOU!
Yep, you read that right. Part of this event will be streamed LIVE! I'll be teaching one project and would like to have you join the fun. If you are interested in joining the fun and creating the project with me, all I need from you is your address...I'll mail you a special kit that will contain all of the supplies you will need to create the project right along with us! LIVE! As I am kitting the projects myself, free kits are limited to 20 online participants, so first-come, first served...but don't worry, If you're number 21 or beyond, I will provide everyone the instruction/inspiration sheet complete with a complete list of supplies and step-out photos to guide you through making a project at your own time/space/pace.
Comment below with your name and address. All comments are moderated and I will not post or display the address comments on this blog. Your privacy is important to me.

Hello Sunshine
Hello there Journey Friends,
As I wait patiently for my May Kit of the Month to arrive, I thought I would work on the actual kit cards for the April Kit (Hello Sunshine). I've used the set for a couple of different cards already and plan on using it for more playful cards soon, I wanted to create the cards for the kit-as close as possible to following the directions. And you know me...I don't do directions very well. I tend to get distracted and add a little here and a little there...
Anyway, Here are my cards, with a few tweaks here and there. See if you can spot them!
Card #1 Hello Sunshine!
Card #2 Rain, Rain Go Away!

Since the circle elements were added in layers, I glued the background ones flat, the middleground received one pop dot and the sentiment received two...Lots of yummy layers! After diecutting the oval, i kept the paper in the die and distressed the inside using my finger and some Pool Play ink. YUM!
A closer peek at the FSJ button reveals the adorable etched stitching and the yummy twine bow...No naked buttons for me!

Coffee Break!!!
Wahoo! My camera battery arrived and I'm back in business!!!
My FSJ order arrived too and I was excited to pull out my newest set: Enjoy Coffee so I could use it for a Grunge challenge hosted by ROSE. She hosts a weekly challenge for coaches of FB and I try to participate every week. It's hard as I only have the weekends to stamp and the challenge turn-around is every Sunday! Sometimes I'm behind, but at least I do it, right?
Anyway, I decided to grab a cup of coffee AND have some fun with my gelli plate and acrylic paints. I made some background paper using some fun spackling tape and the tattered flowers mini dies and my finger was my applicator! FUN!
To add some extra finishing touches, I applied some Journey glaze to the center of the mug label and the word coffee. it gives this card a bit of shine that is needed as acrylic paint has a pretty gritty/flat appearance.
Lemon Grass card base (5x5)

I decided not to let the used spackling tape (stencil on my gelli plate) go to waste. I turned it into a fun little "ribbon" embellishment by clipping one edge on point, then tying some black Journey twine around the center to "pucker it up" and give it some dimension. I popped the coffee mug up on Dimensional Dots and added the word...All it needed was one word, right?
A closer look at the stitching reveals some ziggy-zags...perfect for this grungy look!

Check out the whole stamp set! It's full of pretty, fun, quirky images...and those beans...well, I've got plans for those too! :)
PS...If you're wondering what I'll be doing with the extra cups of coffee that I stamped and cut, stop by in a few days...You'll see where they end up!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!!
Hello Journey Friends,
What are you doing to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day? I'm headed to my stamping room to create a special scrapbook for a student who is a gymnast. She invited me to one of her meets that is this afternoon so I plan on taking photos of the special day and putting them into the book for her. I always love it when my students think enough to invite me to their extra curricular events. It makes me feel special and loved when they invite me into their personal lives and happenings. :)
There are so many AMAZING products that are perfect for not only stampers, cardmakers and product makers, but SCRAPBOOKERS too... If you're interested in receiving a catalog, let me know. I have some left from the 2014 year and am making room for the new catalog to arrive in June! The catalogs offer so much inspiration and they aren't just for shopping (although they are quite handy for that too!) Here are some reasons we think FSJ is PERFECT FIT for scrapbookers:
So now are you ready? Oh, I've got one more thing to share...

Introducing: Full Bloom! May Kit of the Month!
Hello stamping friends,
I'm excited to share the new kit of the month available beginning TODAY!!! It's a beautiful set and I can't wait for mine to arrive so I can play, color, cut and design!!!
Here are all the details about signing up for the Kit of the Month program:
If you know me and my stamping history, you'll know that I REALLY, REALLY love playing with flowers! There's nothing more beautiful or fun than creating something realistic from a piece of paper...These images are so beautiful and I can't wait to make the flowers come to life on paper! You'll see me using this set quite a bit, I already know. I'll also be planning some inspiration sheets too so if you are interested in receiving those (always free here), just stop back this month and check them out.
If you're interested in getting a head start on your materials list, let me know if you would like to place an order for the coordinating materials listed below. I've started a "May Kit of the Month Supplies" party that will close on May 15. I'll be selecting one person from the list to receive ALL of the hostess perks and benefits of this party, so contact me if you want to join this month's kit party. :)
